We Do!

The night we met

Diana and Alex met on a serendipitous September evening in 2022 at a group outing with friends. Diana was dancing across the room after a long day of work, not expecting anything exciting, when Alex spotted her and couldn’t resist joining her on the dance floor. What started as a fun night quickly turned into laughter, stolen glances, and the beginning of their unforgettable story together. On their 3rd year anniversary, Alex surprised Diana during a trip to the Bahamas with a heartfelt proposal at sunset on the beach, turning a beautiful moment into one they will always cherish.

Our Story

🛬 Getting In

You will be flying into Chisinau International Airport"Eugen Doga"<a href="https://airport.md/en?checkin-warn" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">➛. RMO</a> There are several easy ways to reach downtown after you arrive. Car rentals, taxi services, and the recommended ride-hailing app below are all readily available and relatively inexpensive. For the more adventurous, the public trolley costs about fifty cents and runs directly to downtown. For the most convenient option, we recommend using a taxi or ride-hailing service.

Acces the the link below to download the app in the store. <a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/yandex-go-taxi-food-market/id472650686" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">APPLE APP STORE</a> <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.yandex.taxi&amp;pcampaignid=web_share&amp;pli=1" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">ANDROID APP STORE</a>

TAXI APP (Yandex GO)

💡 Useful Tips. Airport pickups: It’s generally best to use a ride-hailing app or a trusted dispatch number rather than taxis waiting outside the airport, as this helps avoid potential overcharging. 🚕 The Yandex GO taxi app works well with international phone numbers and allows you to view estimated fares in advance, track your driver’s arrival, and pay by card—no cash or price negotiation required. Please note that not all drivers speak English, so using the app can help avoid any miscommunication.

Car rental

If you’d like to explore Chișinău or nearby areas and prefer not to use a taxi, renting a car at the airport is a convenient option. Most rental companies accept international driver’s licenses and offer modern vehicles at reasonable rates. We recommend booking in advance. Popular options include Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Sixt, and local agencies like AutoLux or RentCar.md. Please note that Chișinău can experience heavy traffic during certain times of the day, particularly in the downtown area, and parking may be limited during daytime hours. For getting around the city, public transportation or taxis may be the easiest option. <a href="https://airport.md/en/services/paid-services/rent-a-car" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pick-up locations are conveniently located at the airport.</a> Apps like Google Maps or Waze work well for navigation in Moldova.

Traveling

For your convenience, we’ve selected a few great hotels in Chișinău’s downtown area, offering easy access to shops, cafés, and restaurants. While these hotels are not near the wedding venue, they provide a comfortable and lively location for exploring the city during your stay. The venue is easily accessible by taxi, making your journey to our celebration effortless. You’re also welcome to choose accommodations that best suit your liking.

Airbnb

For those who prefer alternative accommodations, we are pleased to share that there are several Airbnb options available in downtown area close to restaurants and shops and easy to get to. These can provide comfortable, convenient, and flexible stays for individuals, couples, or groups. If you’re considering an Airbnb, we recommend looking in central Chișinău for the best access to restaurants, cafés, parks, and shopping. Popular and convenient neighborhoods include: City Center / Downtown (Centru) – The heart of the city with walkable streets, cafés, wine bars, and main attractions.Stephen the Great Boule – Ideal for first-time visitors; close to parks, dining, and public transportation.Cathedral Park &amp; Great National Assembly Square – A scenic, central area with green spaces and easy access to downtown life.Valea Morilor (near the lake) – A quieter but still central neighborhood, perfect for relaxing walks and cafés.Staying in these areas will make it easy to explore Chișinău and access taxis for transportation to the wedding venue.
